When we began planning the Victory Lap, we had a few high-priority items. Visit family (One set of grandparents has never met Miss Allison–or Christa, come to think of it), travel on Route 66 where possible/practical, and take our time. Christa is a writer and Dana will shortly be retired, so there’s no rush to get home, so why not take advantage of the open-ended time frame and stop and smell the roses. Or chili dogs.
