We put another 257 miles behind us today, traveling from our overnighter in Beaumont to Dana’s mom and step-dad’s house in Georgetown, where we will stop for three nights.
I have to admit that this part of Texas is very pretty. Our journey so far has been nice, but with the highways lined with trees, we haven’t seen much of the scenery, so it was a nice change to be able to see towns and homes and hills and…oh my the wildflowers. I feel very fortunate to be here when the Bluebonnets are in full bloom.
Other than ogling flowers, we amused ourselves listening to a new audiobook, and finding funny names (no offense to the Native American tribe).
Allison was awake for most of the day, but crashed out about an hour from MeMaw’s place.
But she perked up quickly as soon as we arrived.

Allison has been terrorizing MeMaw and PePaw for a few hours now. At one point, PePaw summed it up by looking at Allie and saying “Wow, are you a sassy little thing!”
